I had found this Java app earlier, but I hadn’t linked to it. Then I couldn’t remember what it was called… It’s SiteMesh from Open Symphony. It’s an open source app designed to integrate content from multiple sources all with common look and feel and navigation.
Archive for September, 2001DALiWorld offers Java-based electronic fish that can swim from computer to computer. Today, I’m 30 years old. And you know what? I still feel young! My hope is that when I’m 60 (God willing), I’ll still feel like this on the inside, even if the outside is a bit less hardy. Wired takes a look at the suffering of liberty during wartime. Even if it has been done in the past, it is still scary. This puts a lot of faith in the people of the government to repeal these laws once wartime is over. And now for something completely different… a Lego version of the Camelot scene from Holy Grail. Gadzooks. The NY Times is talking about hoaxes and semitruths spreading on the Net in the wake of the disaster. Dave Winer posted thoughts on the coming war from a writer from Afghanistan. This is important stuff to consider, and Ansary’s comments are in line with what others have said about the state of Afghanistan today. Let’s hope that “calmer heads prevail” at the most important times. The Detroit Free Press has an article about people going to school in Michigan and staying here. They quote some guy named “Kevin Diangoor”, which is really close to my name. To his credit, the reporter (Jeff Bennett) did spell Surekha’s name correctly. Thanks for the mention, Jeff! And it’s good to see that people are staying in Michigan. The Detroit Free Press offers a Journalist’s Guide to Arab-Americans. This type of document seems like a good way to get even-handed reporting. It offers to-the-point information about Arab Americans to help people recognize who they are (and they’re not all the same!). China has added 1.2 billion people to the World Trade Organization. This should significantly open markets between China and the other WTO members. |
