Enhydra JaWE and Shark Workflow projects
Posted by: Kevin Dangoor in Software DevelopmentVia Christoph Cemper I came across Enhydra’s workflow projects. We’re looking at open source workflow engines right now, so this is worth taking a look at. I do hope that we don’t have to drag along the rest of Enhydra’s infrastructure to use it.

Enhydra Shark and JAWE are good tools. The learning curve is quite steep, but worth the effort.

Hi,
I already downloaded shark and jawe, and I try implementing shark in my own workflow system, but I don’t have any good examples to look at and learn. Do you have any?
Thanks in advance for your replies….

I don’t know of any, and the comment about the learning curve being “quite steep” should certainly not be encouraging. You might go take a look at the mailing list that covers those projects.

I am interested in sharing experiences of Shark implementations. My e-mail address is lucas.rodriguez@(DELETE_THIS)nevant.com

I have posted the contents of jsp and xpdl. Contents of the jsp connect to shark. Load xpdl and start the workflow process.
One by one each activity is called.
I want to develop a xpdl in such a way that Activity 1 will be called each time the process is started. Activity 2 or Activity3 will be called depending upon a condition.
I tried Transitions but it doesnt seem to work.
Do you have any example in which you are invoking the workflow process from java in a way identical to mine and you have used transitions to select the activity depending on a condition. Please share with me

You’ll likely have better luck by asking the appropriate mailing lists for the project. This post is almost 3 years old. I don’t use any of these tools.
