AT&T Phone Non-Upgrade
by Kevin Dangoor
I received a card in the mail from AT&T Wireless, my cellular company, saying that they’re sending me a Sony Ericsson T226 to replace my T68i free of charge. I thought “gee, that’s cool”. Turns out that it’s not really cool at all. The new phone has fewer features (no Bluetooth!). The advantage offered is better reception. A number of people commented that they switched to T-Mobile and happily got better reception and a better phone. I think I’ll call AT&T and see if they can offer me a better phone than the T226.
Hi, i had the exact same problem with being sent the t226 as an “upgrade” from my t68i. I want a phone with which i can get service AND have all the features i paid for (bluetooth, Infared, voice activated dialing, and international roaming). I spent easily 2 hours on the phone today talking to just about every department at both sony and att but got nowhere. A few people were helpful, but the majority just blew me off. If anyone else is having the same problem, or knows what we can do please email me @ Bradtorps@aol.com There’s got to be something we can do. Thanks.
