Comic Life: make comics from your photos

Comic Life is exactly the kind of app that comes out for the Mac but would seem out of place on a Windows box. It lets you take your photos and arrange them comic book style, adding in baloon text and whatnot. Looks nicely done.
i want to know if there is any free software that will let me make comics on my computer.
Are you talking about drawing comics, or making comics out of photos (which is what Comic Life does)? You can really use just about any paint program to accomplish either. Comic Life just makes things easier.
A powerful, free paint program is The GIMP.
