Thanks for linking to these. I have seen them before, but like you said, it looks like there are some new ones. The Batman and Robin one in this post is just amazing.

Really great, and creative work from him. He however did not “come to realize how to do this”. This art style is called Anamorphism, and was first used by Leonardo Da Vinci.
